Henley win Veteran Pennant at the Pairs Head
The Pairs Head of the River took place last saturday on the Tideway held over a 4000 metre course between Chiswick to Hammersmith. In Junior 18 Double Sculls Henley Rowing Club entered two crews with Chris Clark and Drew Ford coming second while Tom Pocock and Alex Walker came third out of a total of 27 crews in the catergory. Paul Moss said afterwards that Chris and Drew's steering was very poor which probably cost them first place. Henley entered another J18 crew, Nathan Hillyer and Peter Wagner, but this time in Senior 4 Double Sculls where they came fourth overall out of an entry of 30 crews in the S4 category. Meanwhile Laura Leondiades and Katherine Pankhurst performed in Womens Senior 2 Double Sculls however Henley's win came in Veteran F/G/H when Pat Ward and Karol Braun won the category.
