  Thames Valley Park

Last weekends Thames Valley Park Regatta added five wins to the Juniors’ tally.

Once again the boys J14 quad took on and beat all the schools but the final was very close against local rivals Shiplake College with the result being delayed whilst the judges considered their verdict.

A very stylish and well sculled WJ13 quad of Emily Derrig, Orla Millar, Ellen Anthony, Jenny Arnold and cox Alice Skinner beat local clubs Reading and Maidenhead.

In the WJ16 quads Kaye Davies, Hannah Smith Willis, Lucy Lewington and Becci Griffiths made up for a disappointing performance at Reading Amateur with a very convincing win, in the final having more than two lengths of clear water over Kings Canterbury on this short sprint course of 500 metres.

Becci had a second win in the WJ16 single sculls with a comfortable win in the final after a very tough battle in the first round against a sculler Reading RC.

Another single sculls victory came when Caroline Green had three good races to win her novices and make up for the disappointment of losing at Weybridge Ladies.
