Junior Inter-Regional Regatta - Thames Upriver Trials

Dorney Lake, Sunday, 26th March 20065 8am

· This years Junior Inter-Regional Regatta to be held on Sunday 17^th May at The National Watersports Centre Nottingham

· To ensure that Thames Upriver fields the strongest team possible selection trials will be held at Dorney Lake on Sunday 26^th March 2005 starting at 8am with a coaches briefing.

· The trials will be run in a head race format over a distance of 1500m.

· Trials will be held subject to entries received in all the events available which are as follows: -

o MJ16 4x, 2x, 1x, 4-, 4+, 2-

o WJ16 4x, 2x, 1x, 4-, 2-

o MJ15s, )

o WJ15s, ) will all comprise 4x+, 2x and 1x.

o MJ14s, )

o WJ14s, )

• Composite crews will be allowed in Quads and Fours

• To be received by Friday 17^th March

• To cover the cost of hiring Dorney and administration, entry fee for the trials will be £4.00 per head incl cox's (if they are doubling up you only need pay once for each athlete and you pay nothing to Dorney on the day). Cheques to be made payable to Henley Rowing Club. Sorry the charge has had to go up but Dorney’s fees have increased. Any profit as in previous years will go to subsidising the succesfull athletes seat fees for the Inter Regionals themselves.

• Entries should be made on ARA entry forms including registration numbers and SIZE of T-SHIRTS REQUIRED by the athletes.

• Please indicate on your entry any doubling up between boats and competitors.

• The order of racing will be determined following receipt of entries but the intention will be to race big boats first followed by doubles and then singles. To allow as many athletes as possible to represent the region it is intended that no athlete will be selected to compete at the interregional in more than one event.
